Here (better late than never ... right) is a ROUGH run down of the show on Sunday. Please know the order and times are subject to change...so please don't make your decisions about when to show up based on this order!!
I can't give specific times, however, assume that Jesse Lenat starts around 12:15 or so...set lengths vary quite a bit- not all are the same length.

thanks for posting, but one question: i thought merle haggard & ray price were on the bill??
ReplyDeleteSadly due to scheduling conflicts Merle Haggard and Ray Price will not be able to join us this year.
ReplyDeleteJimmy Sturr has a polka band, doesn't he? Will he be playing polkas?
ReplyDeleteWhat time is Matistahu expected to go on?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for posting the lineup. Is Warren Haynes playing solo acoustic or with Gov't Mule?
ReplyDeleteAny chance you know when Warren Haynes goes on for his solo set?
ReplyDeletePlease believe this is true ... I used this occasion of your concert, and hearing Neil Young, to make a major change in my 46 year old life. It means everything to me, and there's a good chance I won't see him if I can't time this right. I won't hold you to it, but you would recommend I try to get there early or late?
ReplyDeleteIs the finale the acoustic set with Willie, Greg, and Dave?
ReplyDeletecan we at least get an idea of how long each artist will be performing if we cant get the schedule?
ReplyDeletecan you give a time of when the middle of the show will be? another words are the begining bands going on for 20 minutes where as dave, time, willie and john will play over an hour...
ReplyDeletegive us some more times PRETTYYY PRETTY PLEASE!!!!!
I started out hopeful that there would be a blog response for something as cool and as down home as this, with heartfelt requests based on real life, just to give us some guidance. This is a bad tease. If you can't respond just say you can't, or won't, respond. Instead of figuring out what to do I stay glued for a post that never comes. What a bad way to start the day.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry the info we posted isn't enough for you. It's what we have- the list of performers in order of how they will appear but without the actual times they will take the stage.
ReplyDeletePLEASE forgive me. I'm an idiot :) I thought that lineup could change drastically. Now I know what to do, since I sadly can't be there all day. THANK YOU THANK YOU I'm so sorry for being mean!
ReplyDeleteThanx for doing a great job !
ReplyDeleteOH my GOD!! Go get xmradio (free trial) and listen live on CHANNEL 2
ReplyDeleteI love Neil Young!
THANK YOU for the XMRADIO tip!
ReplyDeleteListening to Billy Joe Shaver right now.
Awesome.....
Why isn't it mentioned anywhere online (like here??) that we can hear it there???
I'm the one who was trying to find details about when Neil Young would be onstage ... I was so desparate I started doing sweeping searches of the Net. I found this interesting and extremely informative piece more about Farm Aid's mission, and the ties to New York ... and it had mention of XM. No doubt XM made an agreement to be the exclusive broadcaster ... it most likely would have been smart for them to publicize it not so much Farm Aid! Silly, no! I let XM expire ... now most likely I will subscribe again.
ReplyDeleteshoot I'm sorry! I forgot to leave the link

cut and paste it into your browser it's a very good piece of news for today on the event.

Paula Nelson has a good, strong voice. Incredible. Good duet with her "friend". Missed his name. Good voice too.

ReplyDeleteYes Jimmy Sturr is a Polka Band. He and the extermely talented musicians will be playing Polkas. If you have not seen the Jimmy Sturr Band, put on your dancing shoes because you are in for a surprise.
I found it interesting that Warren Haynes played an old Elton John tune (one of my favorites so I recognized it instantly.) Shouldn't he have credited the source?
ReplyDeleteI was a little disappointed. the sound was fine for some acts and poor for others, but never super-duper. Best act? Willy, hands down, despite his set being incredibly short. You could have cut out a lot of the other stuff and we would have all been a lot happier. The rest was just a blur to me.
ReplyDeleteWhy does the park ground have to be a complete pigpen? The idea of having recycle bins was fine, but not having only a dozen small little garbage cans with thousands of people in attendance.
Parking? Well done, well done. Drove right in and was guided to my spot. No sweat!
water trucks: why put it a mile from the stage? Why not more than one?
I'm sure I won't be back, despite your very worthy cause
where were the calhoun twins?...waited to see them but must have missed them...
ReplyDeletesaw Jack Calhoun early in the day with Sturr
